Maître de la gravure sur bois, dans la lignée expressionniste renouvelée de Käthe Kollwitz, que LuXun fit connaître en Chine, il restitue par ses oeuvres, dont celle réalisée à Paris pour ce film, des moments terrifiants des crimes organisés contre le peuple chinois lors de la famine du grand-bond-en-avant et de la révolution culturelle.”

Phantom Cinema – 空一格，戲院

“Cinemas have closed one after another, yet some traces still remain. “The First Cinema” in Meinong, which opened in 1969 and closed in 1991, had built collective memories for people in town. These faded traces once nourished someone’s dreams where fairies still dance, where laughter and tear reechoes.”

Il y a une voix

“More than 10 years ago a tragic event changed the course of a relationship.Il ya une voix is the story of a young victim of sexual assault struggling to be honest with her father about the journey of her experiences. These events directly traumatized her, and indirectly damaged the father and daughter dynamic they used to have. Relational estrangement and geographical separation compiled with their own helplessness caused them to fall into deep isolation. No words or images populated the desert of their minds, only immense pain. Neither spoke of these events with each other until trial proceedings began. Il a une voix contrasts a fictional representation of  a woman’s everyday life by actress Juliette Léger with original sound recordings from the daughter and director Garance Chansigaud. Dive into the depths of an exchange between her and her father regarding a chapter of isolation that ends with their common affection.”

“Alice n’est plus la fillette que nous avait dépeint Lewis Carroll dans son merveilleux, Alice au Pays des Merveilles. De nombreuses années se sont écoulées, elle est maintenant une jeune femme qui s’apprête à fêter ses 25 ans.

Au cours d’une nuit plus sombre que les autres, envahie d’un désarroi profond, animée d’une colère surgissante, Alice tombera à nouveau dans le gouffre de l’inconscient. Elle sera amenée à être témoin de deux souvenirs qui ont marqué son adolescence et son existence de femme adulte. Tour à tour elle sera confrontée à sa mère, dans une énième tentative de  rupture du lien maternel et au chaos pervers de son adolescence. “
